About Us

This site is no longer being maintained - please note is our main site.  Go to for the latest information on our services and products.
Kathy Adams started her long arm quilting business in 2003 with a hand-operated Gammill Classic long arm machine.  Today there are two Statler fully computerised machines, a Sweet Sixteen domestic long arm, and a Prodigi twelve needle industrial embroidery machine.  Kathy has quilted over 2,000 quilts for her many satisfied customers, and several have won prizes at major quilt shows and exhibitions.
In 2008, Kathy's husband Geoff joined the business. This has increased the capacity of the quilting service and shortened delivery times. Geoff also helps with the pattern publishing and customer service.
In 2009, Koolkat quilting began publishing a range of quilt patterns available from this website, many of which are aimed at helping beginner quilters.
A range of embroidered and quilted products followed, to further showcase Kathy's talents.  In 2010, Kathy built a second studio which provides her with her separate creative space and provides enough room for visitors!  Kathy has won several prizes for her quilt show exhibitis, quilts made from her designs and for her machine quiltining, and these are listed under Kathy's Gallery on this site. Now with 2 computerised Statler machines KoolKat Quilting offers a 7 day service for edge-to-edge machine quilting.  Our testimonials section lists just some of the comments from customers attesting to the quality and efficiency of our quilting service.

In 2011 Kathy commenced classes in her new studio which have proved popular.  While all are welcome to visit, bookings are essential for classes.  Resume
